ACFE Foundation Update

The mission of the ACFE Foundation is to increase the body of anti-fraud knowledge and support future anti-fraud professionals worldwide. Through the funding of scholarships, endowments, research and other educational projects, the ACFE Foundation encourages students to pursue careers in fraud examination and provides the latest research on the detection and deterrence of fraud.

The ACFE Foundation provides scholarships to students through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship fund totaling $55,000 annually. Individual scholarship awards are $10,000, $7,500, $5,000 and $2,000 paid directly to the recipient’s university or college.

Thanks in large part to our chapters increasing their annual contributions, donations to the ACFE Foundation have grown substantially, exceeding $100,000 in 2021 and 2022. For this reason, the ACFE Foundation will be able to increase the total yearly scholarship amount from $55,000 to $85,000! In addition to the Ritchie-Jennings scholarship fund, the ACFE Foundation also funds academic research on fraud and white-collar crime through the ACFE Research Institute.

Since 2014, 68 chapters have donated to the ACFE Foundation. Thank you for your generosity. Your support enables students to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths.

We are also proud to announce that the South Florida Chapter President, Matt Molchany, CFE, has joined the Board of Directors of the ACFE Foundation. He will bring his experience to help find more ways that individuals and chapters can further support this great cause.
