ACFE Hosts Successful 2025 Chapter Leaders Summit

2025 Chapter Leaders Summit Recap

For the first time, the ACFE's 2025 Chapter Leaders Summit convened in Nashville, TN, on June 22nd, scheduled alongside the ACFE’s Global Fraud Conference. Attracting nearly 60 chapters worldwide, the Summit provided a crucial platform for leaders to discuss shared challenges, exchange best practices and offer feedback to the ACFE.

Led by former Georgia Area Chapter President Brandi Steinberg and UK Chapter President Tim Harvey, the Summit began by analyzing the 2025 Report on the Chapters, fostering insightful discussions comparing chapter performance against collective data. An interactive session used real-time polling to gauge success metrics, revealing that chapters largely measure their achievements by growth and member engagement. It was noted that scholarships and free trainings are popular methods for promoting the ACFE and the CFE credential, even as student recruitment and retention pose ongoing hurdles.

Mandy Moody, Vice President of Communications, and John Duffley, Director of Communications, presented upcoming initiatives, including the 2026 Report on the Chapters and a report on the Impact of Fraud at U.S. Public Companies. They also shared best practices for chapter branding, social media, content creation, and marketing, along with a brief update on the CFE Exam changes slated for June 2026.

A highlight of the day was an open forum with ACFE President John Gill and CEO John Warren. This session empowered chapter leaders to voice their most pressing challenges and propose solutions for enhanced ACFE support. The exchange underscored the ACFE's commitment to leveraging chapter feedback for developing crucial resources.

The Summit concluded with an open Q&A session, ensuring every question from chapter leaders was addressed by speakers, other leaders, or ACFE representatives. This direct interaction solidified the event's reputation as the premier gathering for chapter leaders and the ACFE to foster shared goals and forge a strong path forward.
